Dragoon Company/ Third Continental Light Dragoons

We the following, Ron Crawley, Ed Harrelson, Don Lyons, Dan Murphy; being eligible members* of the dragoon company put forth the following:

That a Committee of Safety be formed that will oversee safety and accuracy at all dragoon company events. This committee shall consist of four members and be elected by members of the dragoon company. This committee shall attempt in good faith to ensure the following:

1. Any member or individual wishing to take the field at a reenactment must first display a competent level of safety and horsemanship.
2. Any member or individual wishing to take the field at a reenactment must meet certain basic standards of authenticity.
3. Any member or individual wishing to take the field at a reenactment must attend the drill for that event or, in rare circumstances, be excused from the drill by a majority of the committee members present.

The following members were elected to the committee of safety.

• Ron Crawley
• Ed Harrelson
• Don Lyons
• Dan Murphy

In addition, Dan Murphy was elected lieutenant and commander of the dragoon company.

*Eligible member status is defined as attending three dragoon events a year, exclusive of company drills.
