I did my basic training at Camp Croft in the summer of 1943. I was assigned to the 29th Division, 116th Regiment, Company A headquarters unit. I landed on Omaha beach in the afternoon of D Day and stayed with the unit until wounded in Germany in November of 1943. I would be interested in hearing from anyone from that unit.

  Hello,
I have picture from your company that my stepdad, Herbert Prather, had for a long time. I am not sure with whom I need to speak to about this. I am sure that your company would like to have it hanging in your archives somewhere. It is three feet long, and the guys I am assuming in this monster, lol, is all from Co D-29th Inf Training BN; November, 1941, Camp Croft SC.
Could someone get back to me and let me know if anyone there is interested in this.
Thank You, Wanda B

And I will second Ed Sidorski's good comments about the web-site. Another perfect job by Ron Crawley in keeping this site in first class shape for some of us old Camp Croft alumni. Hoo-rah !Ron Croft, Potomac Falls, VA

Interesting to note, it was Ed Sidorski who prompted me back in 2005 to add the previous guestbook. Quite an honor that he is the first to sign in to the new one!! --- RON
