• Comments: The Union County Historical Society has purchased the Cross Keys House in Cross Keys (SC) where CS President Jefferson Davis stopped for lunch in April 1865 on his withdrawal southward.  They are planning a big event on April 26 and 27 including living historians, tours of the house, and a recreation of the visit (on Saturday at 2pm and perhaps again on Sunday).  The event is supported by my SCV camp, Camp 1451 - States Rights Gist.
